Magnesium desulphurization reagent (Magnesium Desulfurizer) is a chemical compound used to remove sulfur impurities through the high reactivity of magnesium. It is primarily applied in the steel-making and oil and gas refining industries. By leveraging magnesium’s strong affinity for sulfur, the reagent effectively binds to and removes sulfur compounds, thereby improving end product quality.

Zastosowania

Magnesium desulphurization reagent is primarily used in the following areas:

Petroleum and Natural Gas Refining: To remove sulfur impurities and improve product quality.

Steel Manufacturing: For hot metal desulphurization, reducing sulfur content and enhancing steel quality.

Wet Flue Gas Desulphurization: In thermal power plants, magnesium-enhanced lime (a mixture of calcium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide) can be used to remove sulfur dioxide from flue gases.
